PFNCA Online Wellness Classes for Parkinson’s- Over Zoom

Movement Disorder Specialists and Neurologists state that exercise is an important way to slow the progression of Parkinson’s Disease.  In addition to improving cardio and balance, exercise helps prevent falls that can lead to other health complications.

To support the efforts of Movement Disorder Specialists and Neurologists and those with Parkinson’s that they serve, the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area is pleased to provide a number of free exercise classes. These classes are led by instructors with experience serving those with Parkinson’s.  Also supporting the efforts of Movement Disorder Specialists and Neurologists, PFNCA provide programs that focus on vocal cord strengthening.

Each week more than 30 classes will be provided that focus on exercise (various formats including boxing and dance) and speech (vocal cord strengthening).  Classes are provided seven days a week.  There is no cost to attend the classes but annual registration for PFNCA Wellness Programs is required.  There is a nominal annual administrative fee for this registration that can be waived for financial hardship.  Each Sunday afternoon PFNCA will send the list of classes for the following week to everyone who has registered for PFNCA Wellness Programs.

If you are interested in participating in one of our Online Classes then you will need to register. To register for PFNCA Wellness Programs, please click here.
