Suzanne Cunneff is Senior Director, Regulatory Advocacy – Communications & External Affairs at BP. In this role she leads internal and external teams along with domestic and international counterparts in regulatory, legislative, and communication strategies and campaigns to advance key issues and operating areas such as trade negotiation, foreign direct investment, and offshore operations. She advocates corporate interests at high-profile government and industry convenings, and advises on public affairs, education and communications. Previous roles at BP include: Director, Federal Government Affairs (2015-2018); Associate Director, US Government Affairs (2011-2015). Suzanne also serves as President of Women in Government Relations, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to advancing and empowering women by fostering professional development and growth opportunities through a community that supports women’s leadership in government relations. Originally from Mississippi, she previously worked at the U.S. House of Representatives as a Senior Legislative Assistant. She earned a BA in Political Science Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is currently working towards a Master’s Degree in Public Relations & Corporate Communications from Georgetown University.
