Joe Esparraguera is Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Lifematters, a Washington DC metro area home care service provider. Joe has been in this position since July 2015. He brings over 25 years of experience as a corporate financial professional and a CPA. Before joining Lifematters Joe ran his own accounting and finance consulting business successfully assisting staffing companies, venture capital firms, and several start-up ventures. Prior to this, Joe was CFO for Resolvit, Inc. – a national IT staffing and consulting firm, and he was VP Finance and HR for Linens of the Week, an east coast linen service company. In the late 1990’s and throughout the 2000’s Joe was Controller or CFO for a string of venture backed high tech startups, setting up systems for finance and HR with a central role in pitching and structuring several equity and debt financings. Joe was key or assisted in raising over $100 million in equity and over $300 million in debt financing in his career thus far. Joe’s mother is living with Parkinson’s.
