Andrew Feffer is Principal of the Feffer Group, Inc. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer for the Washington Nationals Baseball Club, overseeing all business operations for the club. This this role he was directly responsible for the club’s revenue generation, marketing, communications, brand development and business administration.
Prior to joining the Washington Nationals, Feffer oversaw and directed NFL PLAYERS, the for-profit subsidiary of the NFL Players Association. In this role, he managed the day-to-day operations of the company, focusing on marketing, licensing, sponsorship, special events, content development and television production. Feffer successfully re-built the brand and significantly increased new revenue streams, developing the NFL PLAYERS business into a $100 million-plus enterprise.
Feffer also previously managed marketing and sales development for the NBA expansion team, the Charlotte Bobcats, and owner Robert L. Johnson. He was instrumental in developing and building the initial start-up marketing operations, creating the branding, advertising, merchandising, database marketing and sales channels for the organization.
Before being named to the initial start-up executive group for Bobcats Basketball Holdings, LLC, Feffer was the founder and President of Frontier Group, a marketing services company for media, entertainment and sports properties. Feffer’s experience also includes sales and marketing at DIRECTV, where he managed various professional sports and college offerings. He began his sports career serving as the Director of Business Operations for Major League Baseball’s Baltimore Orioles, with an emphasis on leading the club’s minor league operations.
Feffer received his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Virginia and his MBA from Georgetown University. Feffer serves on the Board of Trustees for the Federal City Council. He and his wife, Susan, are the parents of son, Jake and daughter, Rees.
