Leon R. Paparella, M.S.W., CGP is Support Group Specialist at the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area (PFNCA). A position he has held since 2001. He is also a faculty member and past Dean of the Group Psychotherapy Institute of the Washington School of Psychiatry, a group therapy consultant to Walter Reed Army Hospital’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department and has a private practice. Also, he is the author of “Group Psychotherapy and Parkinson’s Disease: When Members and Therapist Share the Diagnosis,” published in the International Journal of Group Psychotherapy, July, 2004.
